An easy 5.2 on Saturday to rest the joints and a 6.2 today out in the gorgeous weather. Was able to lose the skull cap and wore shorts on the run for the first time since the fall.
So I was out in the car the other day running errands and decided to plot out a couple new running routes. My longest right now, as I've noted, is 10 miles so i wanted one a little longer. So in my mind I drew out a route and measured it in the car, thinking it would be like 12 miles and it measured out at a mere 8.8. I was like, what the hell! So I altered it a bit, figuring to add on at least a few miles and the result of that measurement was only 10.4. What on earth is going on here. I guess it's just deceiving. So I'm thinking maybe when I want to stretch things out 'll just double up on my established routes such as 6.2+5.2, 6.2x2, 10+4, etc. Mixed it up a bit. Also that way I'll never be too far from civilization.
